Those of us who study with Professor Lin Yun are eternally indebted to him for his wisdom kindness and endless generosity and it is with the deepest admiration and respect that the following information on Professor Lin Yun is presented here and taken in part from copy on the 2000 Itinerary Brochure. Photo's from the Lin Yun Temple 2001 calendar.

HH Grand Master Professor Lin Yun is a native of Taichung, Taiwan. He first studied Black Sect Tantric Buddhism at the age if six with his first guru, Lama Da-De at Yong-He Temple. When he was seventeen he left China  and went to Taiwan (his family's homeland) where he continued his studies with many gurus of Black Sect Tantric Buddhism including Master Hui, Chich-fu and Master Cheng Kuei-yin.  He also studied with many philosophers,artists, annd Buddhist masters and scholars such as Professor Cheng, Ti-hsuan.  Professor, through his many years of study and meditation, has achieved profound insight and abilities while helping numerous people solve their problems using "transcendental solutions."  For the past three decades Professor has introduced his profound and insightful teachings, especially Feng Shui, to the west by lecturing at universities and institutions all over the world.

His Black Sect Tantric Buddhist Feng Shui School has been practiced widely, received wide acclaim and created a trend in America, Europe and Asia.  In 1997, Professor received and honorary doctorate degree in the study of human psychology from Northern California Graduate University.  This was to affirm Professor Lin Yun's commitment to bridge Eastern and Western cultures as well as affirm the spiritual and mundane guidance he has contributed to and bestowed upon mankind.  In 1998 Professor was officially presented the title "His Holiness" by His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche the supreme leader of the Bon religion, which is recognized by the Dalai Lama as one of the five Tantric traditions in Tibet.  This was the first time in the history of Tibetan Bon religion that such an honor was presented to a Chinese.

A distinguished philosopher and foremost authority on Feng Shui Professor Lin Yun lectures at the invitation if academic institutions and religious communities around the world.  A few if his audiences include: the American Institute of Architects, Parapsychology Society of the United Nations, the library of Congress and leading academic institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Hawaii, University of Minnesota, California Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Wellesley College, Brandeis University,, New York Institute of Technology, Oxford University in England, University of Duisburg and University of Munich in Germany, Beijing  University, Qinhua University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in China.  Professor Lin Yun lectures throughout the world - England, France, Spain, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, India, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, West Africa and many more.  Professor Lin Yun has appeared on national and local television networks including: CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, FOX, the BBC of England and major networks in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.  Interviews and articles on Professor Lin Yun often appear in newspapers, journals and magazines throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
