What happens at a PERSONAL Feng Shui Consultation?
 
FIRST CONTACT:
    Unless you meet your consultant at a social function, your first contact with your Feng Shui Consultant will be when you phone to set up an appointment.

SETTING THE APPOINTMENT:
    It is best to arrange a time when all involved household members can be present.  You will discuss this with your Consultant.  It is also important that the time you set for your appointment is just for your consultation - interruptions will not allow you to get the most out of your time with your consultant.   It will be of help if you video tape or audio tape your consult as well as take notes.

INTERVIEW:
    When you call to set your appointment your consultant will discuss what is needed to prepare for your consultation.   Generally you will be asked to fill out a ”Consultation Questionnaire” or “Profile for Personal Consultation” and provide a floorplan and lot plan (where applicable) or prepare them if you do not have one.

Sample Questions on questionnaire or profile:
1.  How long have you lived in this house / apartment / condominium?
2.  What are your personal /or professional goals ?
3.  What areas of your life would you like to change, move forward or enhance?

PERSONAL CONSULTATION :
   The average questionnaire or profile is approximately 25 - 35 questions.   These questions cover some history of the current residence as well as the past residence, personal information on the household members (career, personal and professional goals, health, relationships, etc.) and information on the neighborhood (are there churches, or schools in the area, how do you get along with your neighbors, etc.)
    The questionnaire or profile helps the consultant to better assess your situation and helps you to be more aware of ideas and events that effect your life.

THE CONSULT: 

  There are three parts to the average initial base consult.

   1.  Initial visit:  Site assessment, comprehensive client interview, discussion of basic
         impressions and needs/adjustments. 
 
   2.  In depth site analysis based on first visit which includes additional adjustments.

   3.  Recommendation of any final cures, address any additional information that may arise.

Personal Consultation Rates


Rates for a personal consultation will vary according to the clients needs, the square footage of the home, travel if necessary and other factors.    You can determine the approximate cost of an initial consultation at the rate of $1.00 per square foot.  Initial deposit of 50% is due upon signing contract (at least 3 to 7 days prior to first visit). This covers the base consultation which includes evaluating the home, the land and addresses any specific needs of the client at the time of the consultation.  Initial consults are done in two to three visits (depending on individual client needs) two to three weeks apart.  The first visit is to gather information and an initial site assessment.  The second visit is to give more in depth analysis based on information gathered on the initial visit and the third visit is to complete the base consult and determine any additional needs.  Additional work (i.e., Art selection and application, landscaping, selecting furniture, etc.) after the base consultation is billed at $360 per hour.
